These terms apply to the PARALLAX app, its online service and this website, provided by Karen Manasyan (“we”, “us”). By using PARALLAX you accept them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.
The game
You may play PARALLAX for your personal, non-commercial use. Offline modes work without an account. Online play needs a guest or registered account.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to play online.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens with your account.
- We do not collect an e-mail address, so a forgotten password cannot be recovered. You can change your password while signed in.
- You can delete your account at any time (see Delete your account).
Display names and behaviour
Your display name and username are visible to other players. They must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonate another person or contain advertising or personal information. Do not harass other players. We may change a display name that breaks these rules and suspend accounts that repeatedly do.
Fair play
In online and especially ranked matches, do not:
- use another program, engine or person to choose your moves;
- arrange results with other players or play against your own accounts;
- exploit bugs, interfere with the service or try to access other players’ accounts.
We may review suspicious results, adjust or recalculate ratings, and suspend or delete accounts that cheat. To report a player, write to [email protected].
The online service
We work to keep the online service available, but it may be interrupted, changed or discontinued. Ranks, ratings and leaderboards may change as the rating system is tuned. Offline modes keep working without it.
Ownership
The game, its rules presentation, code, artwork and sounds belong to Karen Manasyan. The bundled fonts are licensed under the SIL Open Font License.
No warranty and limitation of liability
PARALLAX is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of game data, ratings or accounts. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
Ending your use
You may stop using PARALLAX and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for accounts that break these terms.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the new version applies from the date shown at the top. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
